Engine Room

In the engine room you will find twin Caterpillar 3126TA motors.  Both replaced in 2001 under Caterpillar recall.  The port motor was replaced again just about 100 hours ago do to a cracked number three cylinder.  At that time the turbo was rebuilt, the heat exchanger and after cooler flushed, oil pumps and coolers replaced and the fuel injectors replaced.  So essentially it is a brand new motor.  The starboard motor has had all relevant services done to it and both motors come with oil testing history.  2 years for port motor and three for starboard.  

You will also notice in these pictures that the vessel has both the Glendenning Engine Synchronizer and Cablemaster system.  A new 40amp Xantrex battery charger with remote monitoring and battery temp monitoring.  The water heater is three years old.  The bilges have fresh paint.  The bilge pumps are 3 and 1 year old.  One 8d battery is 2 years old and the other 4.  The genset battery was replaced last year.

There is also a fuel transfer pump which is useful in transferring fuel from one tank to the other as well as an oil xchanger system for not only removing the oil in the engines and genset but replacing it as well.
